36 weeks - A good visit with the doctor!

Our baby continues to grow at normal rate and is progressing as expected. This time the nurse performed a quick ultrasound and also listened to Max's pulse. It was nothing short of amazing--we got a chance to see the structure of the umbilical cord and a quick glance of the baby's tiny heart beating away. It was nice that the nurse was careful not to show us the gender of the baby--she remembered that we want it to be a surprise. Also identified on the ultrasound were Max's butt which is the familiar hard lump usually on the right side of Amy's belly and confirmed that Max is now upside down, exactly where the baby is supposed to be at this stage.

Max's movements haven't exactly decreased. The baby is still very active only that the movements are stronger and a little slower--they seem almost deliberate. The other night, I think I was able to get Max to be a little more interactive. I'd press on an empty part of Amy's belly and Max would seem to punch back--check!

Everything is starting to fall into place, The stroller and car seat should be here on August 1st from Babies'R'Us and Amy is shopping for an additional piece of furniture to store Max's stuff.

These things are great. Notice how the the safety seat sits in a cradle-like device. You buy another cradle (seat base) for another vehicle that you want to plug the baby seat into. You just plug the baby in. You can also plug the seat into the its matching stroller to make a travel system.

Wow, one more week and a normal delivery will be possible--one more week... At 37 weeks, Max can be delivered closer to home and begin life with us--I can't wait.

Sorry Amy, You're gonna have to share Max..we're all going to want to give Max the biggest hug and a kiss!
