Week 33--gettin' tired...

Ok... It's tough to watch Amy get so tired but the fact is that it's obvious that Max and luggage is obviously getting bigger and the days are getting hotter. In fact, I don't think we'd mind if the baby made his/her grand entrance a bit earlier. Despite Max's proposed due date of 8.21, it's safe to say that any day prior to that date in August would be fine--really... I'm sure Amy would agree. Actually, week 37 starts on July 31st. After week 37, Max can be born closer to home in Escondido. Prior to that, Max would have to be delivered at the big Kaiser hospital in San Diego where they have urgent care facilities that Palomar in Escondido does not have. Being born at Palomar hospital would be symbolic because his aunt Cristina, uncle Jerry and brother Shayne were all born there. The way Max is moving makes it look like he may grace us a little early so... we'll see.

Now, are we ready? NO! I mean... I don't know--I guess we're as ready as we'll ever be. I'm nervous as hell. Amy can't sleep well because she can't find a good sleeping position and I'm up at 2:16 am writing in this blog because I just spent the last four hours doing some work for my job and looking up information about things the house still needs for Max readiness (ebay vintage house parts, sprinkler systems, trenching tools ).

There's a lot of dust in the air still and some of it is due to the work that still needs to be completed outside. But it's better--much better. We need to set up his bassinet and toys this weekend. The front yard is cooler now because of our new lawn. At least when it's too hot, we can rock Max on the porch where it's cool. Also, we have some fragrant rosemary herbs that everyone enjoys--I'm sure Max will too. It's got to be better than that warm, summer, baby poop--oooh! Ha! and I'll be happy to change it!!

I can't wait! I get that same feeling about Max that you get when you're going to Disneyland for the first time in your life or you're getting a new laptop--sorry, I'm a geek.

We're still looking for name ideas. Obviously one of the names is going to be Max, it would be weird to call this baby anything but. This is just one of the many things we're still not ready with.
