Max's original due date is August 21 but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. We've tried just about everything to urge Max to come out and play and he's/she's doing just fine inside Momma--apparently. Max still kicks and turns and punches as Amy winces in pain because every now and then I think that I see a tiny elbow, feet or even a knee. It's amazing that we're at this point now. You have to realize that when Max punches and wiggles inside Amy, that is now a tiny child with fully working muscles, speed, power, strength and apparently attitude--stubborn.... Max - "I'm staying right here!"
We have an appointment with the doctor on Thursday, August 23. If Max is not out prior to that date, we'll have to schedule an induction and bring Max out into the world. One way or another, we're going to see Max really soon.
We're ready, we're ready to see this baby. We want to start digging into the pile of 400+ diapers that we've received from family and friends. I'm particularly anxious to get life moving back into a normal rhythm--but with Max here. Everything seems to be on hold or in limbo until the baby's arrival. The other thing that I need to set up is a webcam so that I can log onto the camera from work and watch Max through the web.
I find it amazing that this baby is coming into a time where the internet is as normal as toasters were to me when I was born. I still found VCRs amazing when they first came out. Max will miss them completely.

I hear walking works. Does Amy walk alot. I have a tread mill at the house.
actually, that's not a bad idea. But I think the baby's just not ready. Amy and I went up to Elfin Forest and hiked up that insane hill. Amy hiked a hill that some people won't do when they're not pregnant so I was impressed. She came bouncing down and Max just hung on. The next day I asked her if she had labor pains or anything, she said that she didn't and only felt slight soreness from the hike--but no Max. That's a tough baby from what I can tell.
I'm confused the blog says the due date is 24th and you say the 21st? Basically, the baby is due anytime now.
