Sunday January 20th did not go as planned. We "hoped" the San Diego Chargers would beat the odds and take out the New England Patriots but it didn't go that way... fine--it's the Chargers. At least I got the opportunity to get Max his first Chargers jersey onesie and one of Amy's co-workers gave him some official NFL Chargers socks. Who knew they made such things? I thought I'd get little Max into the same spirit I was feeling and cheer the Chargers to victory. Max slept through most of the game and woke up to watch the Green Bay Packers game.Ok, now I accepted the Chargers defeat because it's so often what they do--but the Packers?!? NO! Uh,
yes... The New York Giants beat the packers 23 to 20 in overtime making the the superbowl a New England vs. New York game--boring... We're not watching it--well, I'm not.Max will be five months old on the 29th of this month and I'll re-blog then to point out all of the wonderful things that he's doing. Right now, I'm a little miffed that I managed to dress up Max in the two teams that got their butts handed to them. I thought doing this would bring these teams luck and I'm not even a football fan.
But damn he looks cute in those football uniforms. It's a shame that Max grows out of some of his clothes so fast. Amy bought him some really cute sneakers that he was able to wear in Wisconsin while visiting his grandparents. But now they don't fit him anymore and that was just last month.

Go Packers, err... Chargers, um... never mind. Thanks for the opportunity to let me get Max a cute uniform.

Well, it's about time..webmaster! Shayne mentioned you and Amy may have been a little mift over the game. Looks like Max gobbled up all the enthusiasm...

only slightly miffed. But it was fun dressing Max up in the jersey/onesie. I'm a little embarrassed but sometimes I find myself dressing him in different outfits in a row--then I realize I'm just playing "dolly". I shake my head, think of football and beer or something "guy" related, apologize to Max and dress him in t-shirt and little jeans.
