35 weeks, so far...

I get nervous when I see Amy wince in pain at what the baby might be doing. She says that it feels like Max is almost ready--like, any day now ready. At 35 weeks, Max would be early but only by about two weeks. The projected date of delivery is August 21 but Amy doesn't feel like Max is going to make it that far. The nurse/midwife told us that anytime after August third would be considered early, but normal.

I was walking through Target looking at car seats. Then Shayne reminded me to hold off because if Max a little girl, I couldn't very well put her in a gray and black, Eddie Bauer seat. He had a really good point.

What I'll probably end up doing is waiting until the baby is born and purchase an gender-safe colored car seat. There was a pink seat on display. I was thinking that even if Max did turn out to be a little girl, I couldn't put her a in Pepto-Bismol pink seat--it wouldn't match the decor of any of our cars. That and it was really, really pink--too pink, if that's possible.

This is the seat that I want to get Max, regardless of gender. I like it because it looks like a spaceship escape pod. These seats are really cool. I was reading about them and they're so safe that babies have come out of accidents almost unscathed. They're totally cocooned in to their little escape pods.

Still a few details to prepare before Max gets here. Other than "Max", we really haven't settled on a name for the baby. If Max is a little girl, the name may get tossed out.

We'll keep everyone posted but don't be surprised if Max comes out much sooner than we anticipated.

So do they have a double cocoon “giggle”? Nervous! I thought you said you were ready.

Yep, realities checking!

Since is it getting close and I assume you will one day let Max read this blog. “Max will be a surprise in some way, a gifted child with much to do in this life that will affect the next.”

And may God direct your every step.

I think I know what the problem is, he or she heard that the "Transformers" movie is out and the baby wants to see it.

Jerry you're such a knucle head. The time is almost here where Max will be born a beautiful baby. Also, the cool part when the baby is born you get to shop for baby gear! I love shopping for babies. It's too cute to see everything so tiny!!

true, I put a 2008 Jeep on layaway for Max's car seat. I think the baby will also need another laptop--to process all the pictures of Max. Probably an updated cell phone to check on Max while I'm at work and definately an updated digital 10 gigapixel, talking digital camera--to take pictures of Max, of course. Max will appreciete these things.

HA!! You need to add - at the top of your list - diapers, butt wipes, butt cream, more diapers, clothes, diapers, blankies, diapers...

Did I mention diapers?

You're cute, sweetheart, but most delusional. ;)
