growing and growing...

This is Max hanging out with me at Henry's Grocery store and also the first time I've seen him sitting in a shopping cart. Amy tried it a few weeks ago so he's getting better at this. We're buying some apple juice for his first hike (stroll) with me to Lake Hodges. He likes to hold on to leaves, branches and seems attracted to the crunching sound of tree bark. There are other things that get his attention like birds taking flight or other small animals--really, anything that moves quickly and suddenly.

He is rushing toward the six month marker and rushing is the right word. I took Max to the doctor last week and had a great exam. The pediatrician was really happy with his progress.

Max didn't seem bothered by the doctor's exam until he got his shots--I hate this part. The doctor leaves for this as well and leaves both the nurse and the parent to deal with a sad and crying baby. The nurse asks if I want to stay and I always do. Fortunately, Max heals quickly and hasn't had adverse effects to any of the vaccines he's been getting. He had a very short bout with a head-cold, sniffles and still keeps a persistent morning cough. But he does heal quickly--ahh, to have new and young antibodies.

He's also now at the point where he's reaching for everything but it doesn't always seem to go into his mouth. He holds things, looks at them intently, bangs on them and then drops them and looks for something else. Max seems extremely curious.

Here's a video at the doctor's office.

and another of him playing with a robot.

...I'll have another update at the official six month marker.

Doctr didn't stay because they pricks. Leave the dirty work to the nurse. As you can see, I'm developing a attitude toward doctors. Anyway, cute picture. Did anyone say anything about Max's onsie? does it fit or does he wear it like a shirt?

it fits well as a shirt and slightly tight as a onesie. He was wearing it as a onesie in this picture. The cashier liked his shirt because he saw Iron Maiden in concert last year.

Fun movies, he is so cute.
This tiny-max.blogspot.com may soon need a new address (name). Then again it may be fun for him when he is 6' 2" to be called tiny!
